Yes, I absolutely HATE going to the post office. I guess the little dinky one we had that could only hold like 5 people, wasn't air conditioned and had very moody ladies didn't make the situation better for me! Anyway, a few months ago they opened up a very nice one, really classy they even have automatic doors for you instead of having to put your packages down, open the door, hold it with your foot, pick up the packages and then weasel your way in. Anyway, I HAD to go to the post office because we had 2 stickies placed on our door that we had a package for pick up and I have 2 packages I have needed to send out. Well, if I hated going before, I avoid it like the plague now with a 9 month old. Anyway, I was set... I had Eli's buggy, put him in there, got the packages I had to mail and walk in... There is a HUGE line, I waited in line for 45 minutes! Luckily I had packed some snacks that maintained Eli occupied in his buggy for a while. After that he started getting fussy and wanted out, luckily there was a little boy about 3 years old in front of us that was making him laugh so all was good! Well we finally get up there and I ask to borrow a sharpie so I can fill in the address on the package. I then realize I don't know it and go for my phone so I can get it off my phone.... uggghhh, no phone... I panic for a bit then remember that I left it next to the alarm at the house since I ran out of the house once I set it!!!! GRRRRRRRRR, so I realized that I can't mail the package. Ok, so I hand the sharpie back and tell the lady I don't have the address so I will have to make another trip, but then tell her that I have a pickup. She very politely asks if I have that little sticker that was placed on the door. Umm well of course I have it, apparently she really needs it so she can go get my package and well were is this sticker... At the house, on the kitchen table where I put it so I WOULDN'T forget it!!! I waited in line for 45 minutes for my child to eat Graham crackers and laugh at a 3 year old! At least I know my husband and son still love me. Sometimes I really do wonder about myself! Any who, people waiting on packages, I have given up on me ever going to the post office, I just assigned Mark to go and drop the stuff off himself, especially if he wanted his mom to have her Mother's Day gift there within the month of May! :)
You poor thing........I am so sorry but feel better I too suffer from having no brain most days as well :)
