I am entering a contest this week over at I Heart Faces . The theme is "A touch of sun". I was torn between two pictures. Both beautiful in my opinion but different for many reasons, but alas my boy won the debate! I just can't get over this picture. I love that the lens allows me to capture things the eye cannot see. I love that I am able to freeze moments in time. Simply by looking at a single picture I am able to remember the happenings of that day.
On this particular morning (early morning) my little man was being really fussy, we went for a drive and ended up in this empty field covered with wild sunflowers. We got off and walked around for a bit, he could care less about the flowers instead he was preoccupied with dirt and tossing it up in the air. Typical boy right? A few minutes later he slowly walked up to a patch of sunflowers... curiosity and wonder set in, he looked them up and down and finally took one in his hand to take a closer look. I am not sure what he saw in it as he stared at it for a good 30 seconds, then just smiled and went back to his dirt. Lucky for me I always have a camera on me! :)
