Ok, so just a very quick update on Eli's helmet, or the "politically" correct way to say it is, DOC Band... Anyway, Eli will be getting the DOC Band. We got a call back Thursday evening and based on Eli's measurements he qualified 100% for the band! This means we won't have to pay a single cent! Not even co-pays! Can you believe that!!! Mark and I were not expecting that and where beyond excited when we heard the great news! Although I am excited that it is covered by the insurance I am beginning to feel nervous about him actually wearing it. I am not sure how he is going to do with it. They have reassured me that he will get used to it pretty quick and be successful with it but I can't help but worry about him being comfortable in it.
Anyway, we go in to get his DSI imaging done tomorrow. This is pretty much a 3D image that they will do. They used to actually do casting of the head but have moved on to only using 3D images so it shouldn't be uncomfortable for him and we should be in and out of there fairly quick. Then after they do his 3D imaging I guess we will just have to wait until the Band comes in. Once he gets it he will need to wear it 23 hours a day. He is only allowed 1 hour with it off, for bath time and so we can clean the band. He will do everything in it, even sleep :( Hopefully he should only be in it between 6-8 weeks though and they are sure he will not need a second band. He little head is not that bad. We will be going in on a weekly basis for adjustments and for to check on progress. So that is all for now. I will update tomorrow to let you know how his appointment went. I leave you with this for now! We had to to take him to take Santa pictures 3 times! The first time we went, the background they had was like cardboard so when they took the picture, the flash bounced off it and there was a big Shiny spot in the picture. The second time we took him to a different place and the flash there was so bright that Eli looks like he is glowing, we went back yesterday and they re-did his pictures and even gave us some for free! I will post the yucky ones once I upload them onto the computer. Anyway here he is with Santa!
Santa, if you bring me something good, I will let go of your finger!

OMGosh what a cute picture, your little guy looks so stinkin' cute :)and Santa looks real!
