Eli is 3 weeks today!

Ok so since this mommy/daddy thing happened, blogging has become kinda hard to fit in. Every free little minute I get is precious time I could use to go get a quick shower, and change out of my PJ's, change my nursing bras/tanks, wash his bottles, put a load in the washer, or even get in like a 10 minute nap! It is getting easier with each day, and I am slowly noticing that I am doing a little more each day, my showers which used to be pretty relaxing have officially become a two minute luxury I get and I know that while I was pregnant everyone used to say "get some sleep now" well... they were completely right! Breastfeeding is going GREAT! He is latching on to both sides really well now, we were having some issues with the right side at first but he loves it now! I also pump so Mark and other family members have the opportunity to feed him as well and he takes the bottle very well also. When I pump, I am getting between 4 to 5 oz from each side so I am also freezing! I have about 30 bags frozen already each with 4 oz! I figure that should be a good stock in case I am ever away! They are good in our deep freezer for up to a year so I might continue to store.

Eli is doing good and growing by the day! He is eating like a lot more now! It seems like he has colic though because he gets really fussy and out of no where will start screaming like something hurts about an hour after he eats. Because I am breast feeding, I have had to cut out some foods from my diet because I am trying to figure out what is causing it, at this point, my guess is dairy. I haven't had any if two days and he seems to be doing a lot better. To comfort him we would pretty much hold him all the time and it came back to bite us in the butt because now he wants to be held at ALL hours! I figure hey... I might as well enjoy holding him now and take advantage of it because I know there will come a day where he will no longer allow it! :) He is actually doing really well at night as well. He goes to sleep around 10 pm and doesn't wake up until about 4:00 am to feed. He is staying up for longer periods of time now during the day and he is much more alert! He is really strong and can support his head on his own. I even had him his tummy on the boppy and he kicked and kicked until he rolled over onto his back!!! Mark's mom was here and we were both very surprised! Well that is all for now, I need to go see if I can accomplish something else before he wakes up again, but here are some more pictures of him!
