11 Month Update

Wow... seriously where is time going??? Our baby is officially less than a month away from turning one! He is becoming more and more like a toddler by the day, surprising us with new things daily. He is so smart, definitely taking after his daddy in the "thinking" department! Not that mommy isn't smart, but I just don't like to over anzlize and over think everything like the hubby. Quick solutions work best for me vs. thinking up EVERY possible solution like my husband and son apparently. E is such an observer already and tries to figure out how to solve a problem. He loves paper and pencils/pens/markers/crayons and knows what they are for, immediately starts "Drawing" or more like scribbling! He stands on his own for about half a minute, and is taking about 4 steps now before he squats or lunges over for you to catch him. His third tooth just poke through, he says momma, dadda, I love you (well not really, it's more like "I ya ya" but he totally has the syllables down) He has become REALLY stubborn and does NOT want to sign anymore unless he really wants something and we will just say more! He officially weaned himself from the boob! Although I was excited about it since I thought I was going to have a hard time I was so sad to see it end :( He pretty much drinks everything from his sippy cup! Woot Woot!!!!! :) We did have to "introduce" the bottle to him when we went up to California to go to Disneyland because we figured it would be easier and I noticed that he seems to really want it to sleep at night :( Booooo... So I am hoping it won't last long if we keep up with the sippy's! Lucky for us since he was breastfed for so long, he had NO idea how to use the bottle, he knows it has milk in there for him but he tries holding it like his sippy cup and can't get anything out of it, so he brings it over to us and expects us to hold it for him!! Ha... go figure huh, we sure got a smart kid ;) What else... um it is nearly impossible to get any good pictures of him although I have plenty of his back and his hiney. He is an official stair climber, loves anything electronic, he doesn't talk on the phone but will bring the phone up to you and put it up to your ear. He loves to hide things, like mommy's keys, he puts house phones inside daddy's shoes puts cheese in his toy box. Still enjoys to snack on dog food and occasionally wash his hands in the toilet bowl! ***Note to mommy & daddy, close those doors*** He love's Go-Gurts, PB&J crackers & String Cheese, mainly because he can feed himself! It is a daily battle trying to get him to eat now since he insists on feeding himself! He will push the spoon away until you give it to him. Still LOVES water, he loves going swimming and playing in the tub. There is just tons of stuff and somehow when I am writing these updates I always forget! I have started making notes in my iPhone though so maybe next month I will remember more!

I was having a stressful day and needed some ice cream. I went out and got a tub of Peach Ice Cream, I am not sure why I have been craving peaches so much with this pregnancy but I LOVE anything peach right now! Anyway I figured since it's just me and Mark and he doesn't really eat the peach ice cream I would eat out of the tub! Yes it was that kinda day! When I went to go get a spoon for E because he really wanted mine, I came back to this!!! Yes my child took it even further than me and instead of eating "Out" of the tub he decided to eat the tub!!! ***Suggestion... when you come over to our house and are offered Peach Ice Cream, kindly say "No Thanks"*** ;)

Just a random picture!
Here are just two pictures from our Disney trip. I have not even uploaded them onto the computer, I have seriously been so busy. But we went to Disneyland almost two weeks ago. E had a great time and did not fuss at all! He was so intrigued with everything and everyone and just stared in awe! He LOVED watching the parade, he LOVED "It's a Small World" and LOVED the characters! He would bounce up in excitement when he saw one! :) It was so cute.

My favorite picture! It cracks me up! As a kid I used to watch Bobby's World, I don't remember much of the cartoon other than the little boy had a HUGE head with a tiny body! This picture reminds me of that! Doesn't it totally look like E grew a Mickey Head!

Yesterday I wanted to make a soup because the new baby was really craving it. I defrosted some meat and got out the veggies I had (I have not been grocery shopping lately because we have been gone more than we have been home) so we pretty much had NOTHING! I had one carrot, 3 potato's and half an onion, that's it! I figured I was going to have to make a quick run to the store when I realized I had veggies in my garden!!!! I quickly walked the 20 feet to my planter and picked some Cilantro, green peppers and tomato's! Just what I needed! I ran back inside so happy! Seriously how perfect is that I was able to make our dinner with the veggies we grew in our backyard! No pesticides, completely organic!!! I am thinking of buying a bin to start composting our "fruit & veggie" waste that way we can fertilize the soil to my mini garden with it!

Here they are just before they hit the pot! :)

***In baby news, I will be 13 weeks on Sunday! Woot Woot! So like Eli's pregnancy I will start doing my weekly belly pictures then along with an update!
