SEA LIFE

We had a pretty mellow weekend. Mark and I were both feeling lazy and just kinda hung around the house. We did manage to make it out to go to Church and to SEA LIFE. It's a new aquarium they opened up in the Valley. (I think this is the first in AZ) :) and I had a buy one get one free coupon that Eli got from Infant reading at our local library that Mark and I decided to go. For any local mommies planning on going... I would suggest waiting until the "excitement" of it has worn off, it was packed! Or if you go I would go during the week and in the morning. With me being camera crazy, it was a bit frustrating that I couldn't get pictures of what I wanted but people were pretty nice and actually waited if we were taking a picture. A first I noticed, usually they walk right by the middle and ruin your pic! Anyway, Eli was a bit cranky when we first go there, but we did have to wait about half an hour to get in so he was a bit restless. Once inside we found a bench and fed him and after that he was pretty happy. He was so intrigued by EVERYTHING, and kept saying "Ahh", and "Ohh" and some other stuff I can't make out yet! :) Anyway we had a great time and it was nice getting out of the house for a bit. We also took my new camera to test it out! M and I are both learning it at the same time and it was a bit challenging taking pictures of the aquarium because 1) you can't use a flash, 2) You have to get everything through glass, 3) the glass is VERY dirty with fingerprints all over, 4) They had extremely crappy lighting. I swear that each room had a different florescent neon light, they had purple, orange, yellow, aqua, teal, redish, you name it they had it, so it made for taking pictures really hard but regardless, I think we managed to get a few good ones! :) I was very happy with how some turned out! Anyway... here is our day at SEA LIFE.
