Amazing Jakes, Apricots, Peppers, Tomato's & Apples!

So we really didn't do much for Memorial Day weekend. Mark and I got into our first "Big" argument since being married, I am sure there are still many more to come :) (I figure every healthy relationship has to have those every once in a while) and hey we almost went 2 years without one! Sure, sure we have had bickering here and there but nothing that he or I weren't over with within an hour. This however involved our child! Yup... our first "Big" one was over our child soooo.... we are going to have to work on coming up with solutions when it comes to E and any future kids. We weren't seeing eye to eye, he thought one thing, I thought another, the truth is with how difficult Mr. E has been lately (NOT SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT, or during the day for that matter) makes for some very exhausting days & nights for us. M & I both needed a break so E and I headed down to my parents for a few days so Mark could have some time without me nagging at him to do this, or that, and no E to stress over bumping his head on the tile or eating dog food, or getting into the trash, or tantrums! E and I were down in RR through Monday morning while Mark got some stuff done around the house. The backyard, cleaning the office and laundry!!! Yes, my husband does laundry and does it better than me! He even organized E's PJ drawer and attempted on the closet. Anyway we just went out for dinner on Monday evening and it was nice just being back home, we both missed each other and well makes me want to get into arguments more often since making up is always great :) I think the weekend recap really did both of us well since I got a break too. My parents were so awesome that they insisted on taking E at night so that I could also catch up on some sleep!
Anyway, here are some pictures I completely forgot to post about... this was to our day at Amazing Jakes about 2 weeks ago.

He was so intrigued with the little boys

He actually wen through the tunnel!
1st time on a carousel
So much fun daddy!

Then my cousin wanted to ride this thing... but no one wanted to go on it with him, so we all made Mark go on it with him!
All was good
But when he got off he was white as a ghost, then passed out for an hour on the table!
And finally these are here at our house, We have so many fruits and veggies planted and I am so excited that many of them are starting to give! We have watermelon, strawberries, grapes, green peppers, habanero's, red peppers, jalapeƱos, tomato's, squash, orange tree, nectarine tree, apple tree, apricot tree, avocado tree, then we are planting carrots, cucumbers, cilantro and some other stuff in one of the planters. Anyway... I grew up eating fresh fruits & veggies with my grandpa, he had everything you could think off and I have always wanted to do the same. But we don't have too much room do do all I want here in our backyard sooooo.... Well Mark bought a property down in RR a few years back while we were still dating. He figured eventually we would build a house down there to be closer to my parents. We have almost 2 acres of land down there and lately I have been thinking that it would be great to plant all this stuff down there. We aren't sure if we are still going to keep it since it seems like eventually my parents might end up in the Phoenix valley but in the meantime it would be awesome if we could do that! I am sure with how much my dad loves it as well, he would look after it for us. It's a bit late in the planting season so obviously it would have to wait until next year, I am sure my dear hubby will think I am crazy just like every other idea I have :) but hey it's worth a shot right hehe!

They were so sweet too!

The tomato's are also starting to grow

We probably have close to 50 apples!

  1. YUMMY; the garden looks great & there is nothing better than a tomato straight from the vine!!

If it took you guys that long to have your first "baby" fight you are doing GREAT! Lance & I have had quite a few so far :) Happy everything is better & I would have to agree making up is the best part of fighting!!
