22 Weeks = Another Scare :(

I had been feeling pretty well, I think I officially started showing this week! Like really showing, now when people see me they might think "Oh, she is pregnant" before they think "Oh she is fat" :) But who knows, we did go to a party where I was asked how the pregnancy was going by a friend, when and older lady came up to me and said "Ohh, you are pregnant? Congratulations, I thought you were still a little fat from your first baby!" Ahhhhhh...... Geeeez lady, thanks for an AWESOME compliment! Ha! Seriously, where do people get this, I mean even at age like 7 I knew not to make a comment like that and flat out call someone fat! But anyway, in all honesty I really didn't care too much, Mark and I were actually laughing at it because we were just in awe that someone would be so blunt! Ok, so back to the scare, I spent the week down at my parents because they had been bugging me they wanted to see Eli, I figured we could spend a few days down there, my dad was on vacation so Eli had both his Nana & Tata there with him all day which was nice! I LOVE the extra hands to help out with him when I can get them! Anyway, on Wednesday morning (around 1:00 am to be exact) I started feeling a lot of back pain! Probably the worst I have had yet, it was strong enough to the point where I had to leave the room because I was crying so hard and thought I would wake Eli up! I went and sat in my parents living room for a while hoping it would pass, I had taken Tylenol already at 11:00 pm because I also had a headache so I didn't want to take anymore. I then started feeling very sharp pains in my stomach that would reach all around to my back. I started freaking out because they were coming and going about every 5-10 minutes and lasting about 30 seconds... I also started feeling a lot of vaginal pressure. at around 3:00 am I finally decided I should call my doctor, who was concerned it might be pre-term labor! WHAT... Pre-term labor... I freaked out and didn't know what to do... I didn't want to go to the hospital down at my parents because one: I had surgery there when I got my appendix out and a year later my scare opened up agian! Yeah... not kidding! It was bleeding and all. Two: they are not equipped for ANYTHING! If something were to go wrong, they would need to fly me up to Tucson and Three: I just flat out don't trust them down there, I have heard many horror stories! So after my doctor told me I had to go to the hospital I called Mark, I was contemplating on driving up to the Valley again but it just hurt so much I didn't feel I could make the trip myself. At that point it was close to 4:00 am, I had made myself a Chamomile tea hoping to calm myself and maybe the pain. I woke my little sister up and asked her what I should do. And like Mark of course she told me I needed to go to the hospital. I then started contemplating on calling my BFF or her Hubby who are both paramedics. I knew one of them was working for sure and they could drive me up to Tucson... if something was really wrong, I would trust them to handle an emergency situation better than anyone else I know, but by that point my mom walked out of her room and insisted I go to the hospital now! After a bit of arguing she won and and pretty much dragged me to the hospital down there! She convinced me because she said we would see what they say, if it was contractions, we could check myself out and she would drive me up to Phoenix, or ask if they could have me transferred to Tucson. The idea seemed logical and at the best solution so we went... well when we got there the Parking lot was completely EMPTY! No one in the waiting room and even then they took forever to get me in, umm you would think pregnant female, with belly pain (possible contractions) yeah maybe we should get her in and figure the paperwork out later since well the stupid computers were down, then the lady couldn't figure out her password to get on... yeah... it is that ridiculous! Then to top it off, they were asking stupid questions that were not relevant like why I wasn't working... Um lady I have insurance, you've got my insurance card and license which should be all you need, are you kidding me with all these stupid questions. Non the less I was sooooo irritated, by the time they got me back in, I felt better. I was no longer having the pains, they had passed so they obviously didn't show up on the test... They told me they "thought" it might be a bladder infection and gave me a pill. So we ended up going home. I called my doctor again and she said if I felt the pain again to go back in, but if I was not having any bleeding or discharge then I was ok... Well maybe you should have told me that the first time! I think she was just concerned since I had the history with E and the preclampia/abruption. Mark ended up driving down there with my Brother in law to pick E and I up since he didn't want me driving! When we came back we went in to the OBGYN and everything seemed normal. I haven't had that pain/sensation anymore so everything is good!
