34 Week Belly Picture
So still have horrible heartburn! :( I am now on Aciphex (we will see if that helps). I am still comfy sleeping at night with the exception of the heartburn, I know I say every week it's the worst I have had, but each passing week, I get proven wrong. It was so bad this week that I would wake up crying at night because it just burned so much. It has been so bad that I am constantly coughing and it now just makes me throw up! :( I don't know how much I can take, even eating my frozen grapes now or orange juice has me up all night. I have continued having contractions, I had some very strong ones last night and then again this afternoon, I had a doctors appointment today and they did a surprise internal! I was not expecting that but it is good that they were able to check. My cervix is still closed, they do want me to continue to monitor the contractions and to just be aware if there is any change in their occurrence. So far they are still pretty sporadic so all is good. One thing that I did notice this week is that I have been incredibly sleepy again. It feels like first trimester all over again! I am not sure why, but I really need a nap about an hour after waking up! It is so weird, I literally have to fight to keep my eyes open. I am over my nutter butter & chocolate frosting phase (I am surprised it didn't last very long) Still drinking a lot water ohh and I started breaking out! I do not like that one bit but there is nothing that I can do about it. The doctor told me that it's because of all the hormonal changes, once the baby is delivered my body will slowly start going back to normal. We also started packing the bag for the hospital. Mark has been reading his pregnancy book and he has been the one telling me what I need in the bag! He even suggested we go to the store this last weekend and get me nursing bras, nursing tanks and some heavy maxi pads!!! Can you believe that! I am amazed at how involved he has become and how hard he is trying to get everything ready! I think it finally hit him that we are about a month away! :) Ohh and apparently my belly has dropped, my aunts and grandma told me this weekend that the baby was very low!
I also sported some Elephant feet for two days! My feet were so chubby and swollen, but they are back to normal and so are my hands I was able to put my rings back on this week (Lets see how long that lasts). Mark promised to take me to get a pedicure sometime this weekend (since it's my birthday) and to help me relax a little.
He has been incredibly sweet and very helpful! I have been so busy I have not had a lot of time to do much around the house, he has done EVERYTHING! He even steam cleaned our carpet downstairs! The house is spotless! Why am I so busy you ask, well because I am taking a class through a JC this summer and we meat up twice a week, the other 3 days I am going into Mark's office to work. Yup... that is right work! Most girls at this point of the pregnancy are starting to take off on maternity leave, well not me... in fact, I just started working, it wasn't planned it just kinda happened but I think it is working out nice. Mark and I had already agreed that I was not going to work for at least the first 6 months once the baby is here, so going into his office will be a nice little way to get some extra money (that will most likely be going straight into a savings for the baby) the best part is that I get to take the baby with me once he is born! He already has a room there where we will put his Pack and Play and other baby necessities! I started going last week and I have to say that the office is already looking so different! Not to mention that I love being able to work along with Mark, with how little time we had been spending together it's a complete change being with each other most of the week now! I LOVE IT!
I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time with your heartburn & I will keep my fingers crossed that the new medicine helps. Happy early Birthday & that is so amazing that you get to work with Mark & then take Eli with you once he arrives!! I hope that you start feeling better soon & keep your chin up....we have made it 35 weeks & there are only 35 more days to go....maybe!!
