33 Week Belly Picture
Ok, I know, I know, my 33 week update is turning into a 34 week update but I have just been so busy that I had not had time to sit down and blog. Anyway, week 33 was fairly good overall with the exception of Friday. Mark and I were out shopping for Dog food when I started getting really sharp pains all over my belly, I was not sure what they were at first as I had never had them before, but I was literally hunched over the cart with tears in my eyes, then the pain would travel from my belly all the way to my back down to my butt. The first one only lasted about 15 seconds, and although Mark kept making fun of me about having "Fake Contractions" he kept asking if we needed to go to the hospital. The second one came about half an hour after that while we were at Office Max, the same thing, only this time I was able to try and concentrate on what I was feeling, my belly was really hard and I could feel a lot of pressure and tightening. When we got home later, I called the triage line and was told that it was most likely "False Labor", I hadn't had any more contractions at that point but they suggested I continue monitoring them, if they became consistent or their were more intense that I should go to the ER and get monitored. Well I decided that they were pretty sporadic, between a 24 hour period, I had 7 each lasting between 15 to 30 seconds but they weren't consistent I got about 3 in one hour and then didn't' get anymore for about 7 hours. It is now Wednesday and I have had 3 more since Saturday, I just think now it is more my body preparing itself for the "Real thing". I have an appointment this coming Monday, this will be my last one before I have to start going in every week! Wow... It is amazing how fast it is going. In 3 weeks I will be considered "Full Term" already! The little guy is still a little squirmy worm in there, although his movements have become a lot more painful and uncomfortable. I had to put my wedding band away because by the end of the day it was nearly impossible to take it off. (I still have the engagement band on though since that was slightly bigger in size). I did develop a craving though, I am now walking around with a bag of Nutter Butters and a tub of Chocolate Frosting! The Nutter Butters taste so good when I dunk them in the Frosting! I know probably not the healthiest but I am also eating about 5 cups of veggies a day! Fruits are still my best friend, ohh and I have also found that Otter Pops help me when I feel like gagging! So I am now keeping a stock of them in our Freezer. I am still very thirsty, I am drinking a lot of water and can't seem to get enough. My feet were pretty swollen for about two days but they are back to normal. I can still sleep at night however my left leg has been going numb... (not sure if that is normal but I will bring it up on my appointment on Monday). Ohh and I also had my last shower this past weekend, below are some pics!

Welcome to the world of contractions...they are fun aren't they :) I am happy to hear that they are random & not anything to worry about though.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap do I have to stop at the store on the way home today....I HAVE to try this nutter butter & chocolate frosting yumminess that you have been enjoying!!
It's about time!!! Ha ha just kidding, though I have been waiting for an update! So sorry about teh contractions! It looks like he is just so excited to come out and meet everyone!! And even though I am not pregnant and I am trying to lose weight the nutter butters and frosting do sound good!
